Things to See and Do and what our Guests
                           liked most

The Perigord-Noir is filled with many fantastic attractions and they are numerous and there would be too many to put here.  So the gite is ideally located to capture all

Below are some of our guests' favourite attractions and things to do.  There are maps and brochures available in the Gite to help you decide what you would best like to see. There most certainly is something for everyone.  The main sites are linked below, click on the Amber boxes.

Visit the Medieval town, interesting little shops and absorb the atmosphere

There are Markets in the region on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.  The markets are in the morning and from 09:00am until midday and sometimes a bit longer.  The market in Cenac et St. Julien is on Tuesday mornings (great fruit & vegetables).  Doome market is Thursday morning (good eating stalls), Sarlat markets are Wednesday and Saturday (big market). Gourdon market is Saturday morning,  St. Cyprien market (big market also) is Sunday morning (we love this one too).  There are also special interest markets, good brocantes etc and see vide Grenier linked here.  These markets are throughout the year.  There is a special Christmas market in Sarlat every year
